I believe everyone is photogenic and use photography to help my subject to love the truly individual face that nature blessed them with. Beauty is only skin deep, but it is in in the eye of the beholder and a major step to loving yourself is to love the skin you're in. I want my subjects to celebrate their own unique look and style and learn to love having their photograph taken, which is a skill that can bet learnt like any other.
