My name is Kaia. I'm a 24 year ­old woman and I care about a lot of things like the people I love, puppies, mornings, sunshine, and good food. I decided I was going to be a photographer at 14 years old and haven't looked back since. I was born and raised in Seattle but left after college for Southern California. I still dream of Los Angeles but the city itself I so detest so we'll see if I'll ever go back. For now, it's San Diego that has my heart. I've done all kinds of photography ­ starting in sports and now editorial and portrait. But the one common denominator is and will always be people. I love capturing people. It helps me understand myself and the world better. Here's to growing.
