Patricia uses self-portraiture to creates carefully staged images that evoke issues of femininity, intimacy, longing and desire where the characters appear trapped in their own psychological labyrinth. She is interested in examining preconceived notions of womanhood, their influence on our social identities and how we see and present ourselves in a society of ‘keeping up appearances'.
